Location was great, close to a beautiful temple and easy to reach by train. the staff was friendly, even though not all of them spoke English. the room was clean and nicely decorated with a traditional Japanese style. the breakfast was tasty and filling, with fresh and delicate ingredients.
The price was too high for what it offered. the room didn't have a private bathroom for shower, which was inconvenient.

Best aspects of this mountain retreat: Surrounded by beautiful shrines and temples, this hidden gem offers a traditional Japanese-style room with futons, towels, and a Japanese gown. The terrace hot spring bath with its breathtaking mountain views is the perfect relaxation experience. The delicious kaiseki dinner is a must-try!
Worst aspects of this mountain retreat: The shared Japanese-style bath may be a little disappointing for those who prefer private settings. It's also not within walking distance to public transportation, so it may be challenging to explore the nearby cities.
